CSRD: a new European framework for sustainability

Since 2024, a new rule called CSRD has been in place in Europe.
It requires large companies to better explain what they are doing to protect the environment, respect human rights and manage their business responsibly. This is known as extra-financial reporting.
Our company does not yet exceed the thresholds set by the CSRD (€50 million turnover, more than 500 employees). We are not directly concerned… But that doesn’t mean we don’t feel concerned. Quite the contrary!
Why should we be?
✅ Our customers are
Many of the companies we work with, whether major players in food or industrial distribution, healthcare or e-commerce, are subject to this directive. And in their sustainability reports, they must now take into account their suppliers: us! To this end, we respond quickly, efficiently and transparently to the data collected by our customers.
✅ Our choices have an impact
As a packaging manufacturer, we play a role in our customers’ overall environmental footprint: materials used, origin of materials, recyclability rate, logistics, carbon footprint…
Even though we have no legal obligation to do so, we have made the choice to integrate sustainability into the heart of our business:
– We create packaging that is recyclable, reusable or made from recycled materials
– We are transparent about the origin of our materials and the composition of our products
– We support our customers so that they too can better meet new expectations
CSRD is just the beginning. In a few years’ time, other smaller companies will also have to comply. Companies that act now will be the most reliable and sought-after reference partners in the future.
