Our teams rallied together for Pink October
To mark the end of Pink October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our company organised a special event on Friday 31 October. The idea was to combine fun and solidarity while supporting a cause that affects us all.
Everyone was invited to come dressed in pink, the symbolic colour of this campaign. Mr Hannecart pledged to donate a sum for each employee who took part, which will be given to the Oscar Lambret Centre to support cancer research. It was a wonderful way to turn a simple gesture into real support for health and research.
This initiative reminded everyone of the importance of screening and, above all, contributed to an essential cause. Whether people opted for an all-pink outfit or just a touch of colour, every contribution counted.
Reminder: Breast cancer in France
– 1 in 8 women will be affected during their lifetime
– Leading cause of cancer death in women
– Nearly 80% of breast cancers develop after the age of 50
– When detected early, these cancers have a good prognosis
– Today, 60% of breast cancers are detected at an early stage
These figures highlight the importance of screening and collective action.
The earlier breast cancer is detected, the easier it is to treat and cure.
Take care of yourself, get screened and encourage your loved ones to do the same.
