FSC® certified paper: controlled traceability, with full transparency

When a client asks us:
“How can we be sure that your paper comes from responsible and controlled sources?”

We simply answer: with facts.
Our company Hanova holds an FSC® Chain of Custody (CoC) certification for our Novafood range.

This approach allows us to market products with the FSC Mix label.

This means that the products concerned are composed of:

  • mainly fibres from FSC® certified forests,
  • and additionally fibres from controlled sources, assessed through a due diligence system.

For example, an FSC Mix 70% label indicates that at least 70% of the fibres come from FSC® certified forests, while the remaining 30% come from controlled sources.

With this certification, we implement strict processes to ensure the traceability of materials throughout the supply chain, from supplier to finished product.

Our teams ensure in particular:

  • verification of our suppliers’ FSC® certificates
  • separation of certified and non-certified materials
  • compliance with FSC® labelling rules
  • quality checks at every stage

Any non-compliance is immediately identified and addressed.

FSC® certification is based on a set of requirements designed in particular to avoid the use of materials from controversial sources, such as illegal logging, violations of human or workers’ rights, destruction of high conservation value areas, significant conversion of forests into plantations, or the introduction of genetically modified organisms in forestry operations.

This certification reflects our commitment to transparency, rigour and responsibility in the selection of our materials.
